The Eastern Economic Forum-2017 hosted Russia-ASEAN Business Dialogue.

Sergei Katyrin, the President of the CCI of Russia moderated the Russia-ASEAN Business Dialogue within the framework of the Eastern Economic Forum 2017. Vladimir Padalko, Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, Alexei Kostin, Chairman of the International Commercial Arbitration Court at the CCI of Russia and other members of the delegation took part in the event.

At the opening of the Business Dialogue Sergey Katyrin recalled that over 20 years of cooperation between Russia and the ASEAN countries, trade and economic relations had been improved noticeably. Nevertheless, it was necessary to make greater use of the impressive investment potential of Far Eastern region.

The discussion was attended by Deputy Minister, Head of the Management Services Group of the Ministry of Trade and Industry of the Philippines Rowel Barba, Chairman of the Board of Directors of NagaCorp Ltd Timothy Patrick McNally, First Vice President of JSC Russian Railways Alexander Misharin, Chairman of the Committee on Cooperation with Russia and CIS Countries Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Didit Ratam, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Vietnam Као Куок Hyung, Vice President of "Business Russia" Nonna Kagramanyan and others.

Summing up, Sergey Katyrin noted that the Far East region included not only the city of Vladivostok, but also a huge region with great opportunities. Russian business and its foreign counterparts, while interacting, can and should make this region prosperous, including all sectors of the economy: tourism, healthcare and high technologies. It is beneficial to all, he concluded.
