The meeting of the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation Sergei Katyrin with the President of the Chamber of Commerce of Cuba Orlando Hernández Guillén (the Cuban delegation traveled through Moscow to Astana to participate in the Day of Cuba at Expo-2017) was held in Moscow's Expocenter.

Sergey Bednov, Director General of Expocenter, and Tatiana Mashkova, General Director of the National Committee for the Promotion of Economic Cooperation with Latin American Countries and Deputy Chairman of the Russia-Cuba Business Council, also attended the meeting. Cuban representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and the Ministry of Energy participated at the meeting.

During the conversation, issues of economic relations between the two countries and the participation of Russian companies in the FIHAV 2017 Havana International Fair were discussed.

According to Sergei Katyrin important changes are taking place in the Cuban economy today, so the Russian companies need up-to-date information on all the changes and new regulations for doing business in Cuba.

Head of the Chamber of Commerce of Cuba Orlando Guillén considered relations between the chambers friendly and constructive. He recalled the previous meeting of the heads of the two Chambers in 2014 in the CCI of Russia and the support of the Cuban delegation in the exhibition "Healthcare" at Expocenter. Cuba planed to participate in such an exhibition in 2018 again. We hope for support in the future, Orlando Guillén said, noting that the exchange of information, of course, needed to be improved. The idea to hold a video seminar, he believed, can also be realized on the basis of previous experience. The Cuban side organized a seminar in Moscow after the adoption of the new Cuban law on investment. Cuba expected Russian participants to "FIHAV-2017" Orlando Guillén concluded.
