Sergey Katyrin talked about three conditions, the implementation of which will increase the Russian-South Korean economic interaction. The President of CCI of Russia took part at the business dialogue "Russia-South Korea", which was held in Vladivostok as a part of the EEF-2017 program.
The most important condition for successful business is profound knowledge of the market; however the analysis conducted by the CCI of Russia showed that Russian and South Korean entrepreneurs are poorly aware of the market opportunities between the two countries. Therefore the first condition is constant information exchange, said Sergey Katyrin. The Russian Chamber’s system can provide full-fledged assistance and support in this matter.
The second condition is the participation of entrepreneurs in exhibitions and fairs. Practice shows, he stressed, that, despite the rapid development of information technology, to this day the physical participation of companies in exhibitions and fairs remains one of the most effective channels for promoting products to foreign markets.
Finally, the third condition is the development of regional cooperation. The president of the federal chamber is convinced that the regions of both Russia and Korea have huge potential for business development.
The moderator of the business dialogue was Mikhail Bondarenko- the Russian Federation's trade representative in the Republic of Korea, President of Busan Port Authority Woo Ye-jong, President of the Korean Institute of International Economic Policy Hyon Joo Tak, Chairman of the national federation of fishing cooperatives Kim In-Kwon, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Korea Yong An Park, President of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs Alexander Shokhin, Managing Director of the Dobroflot Group of Companies Alexander Efremov, Managing Director of the Nakhodka Sea Commercial Port Vyacheslav Sarayev, Representative Russian Ministry for the Development of the Far East Julia Kosyreva and other representatives of business and government agencies of the two countries.
On the same day, the delegation of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation participated in the plenary session of the Eastern Economic Forum, at which Russian President Vladimir Putin delivered a speech.
